Soeckers rock Wittmund: The indie event of the year is approaching!
The indie band Soeckers from Münster is returning to Wittmund for the fifth time. On Saturday, July 19th, the Harlinger stage at the Bürgermarkt will be lively from 9 p.m. when the musicians will present a unique mix of pop, rock, alternative and independent. Since their first appearance at the Baller Ina Festival, the band has become an integral part of Wittmund's cultural landscape. Band member Julian Marpert remembers the first appearance on the Blersum football field with a smile and describes Wittmund as a “personal pearl in the north”. [nwzonline].
The band consists of the four musicians Johannes Schulte-Schlichtmann, Julian Marpert and the twin brothers Lars and Nils Temme. With a mix of influences from the Beatles, Rio Reiser and Oasis, they have established themselves in the German music scene and now play over 200 festivals and club concerts, including prominent events such as Haldern Pop, c/o pop and the Reeperbahn Festival.
