German dressage team presented for CHIO Aachen 2025!

Looking forward to the big event: The CHIO Aachen 2025 is just around the corner and the first steps have been set. As Pferd Aktuell reports, the German dressage team for the renowned tournament has been announced. Led by the experienced Isabell Werth, the team will feature brand new talent and face international competition in the picturesque setting of Aachen from June 27th to July 6th, 2025.

The members of the Nations Cup team are no strangers: Isabell Werth from Rheinberg rides with her horse Wendy de Fontaine, while Frederic Wandres from Hagen a.T.W. to Bluetooth OLD. Sönke Rothenberger from Bad Homburg will be at the start with Fendi and Katharina Hemmer from Erwitte will be bringing Denoix PCH with her. Matthias Alexander Rath from Kronberg, who is starting the race with Destacado FRH, was nominated as a reserve. The national coach Monica Theodorescu is happy about the development of new pairs within the team.

CDI4* tour in Aachen

Exciting couples were also nominated for the CDI4* tour, including Anabel Strahlhol from Rosendahl with High Five FRH and Ingrid Klimke from Münster with Vayron. Other participants include Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier with Valencia AS, Bianca Nowag-Aulenbrock with Florine OLD, Matthias Alexander Rath, Semmieke Rothenberger with Farrington and many more. This selection promises exciting competitions and will make the hearts of dressage fans beat faster!

Tickets in focus: black market and measures

One of the big sticking points at the CHIO Aachen is the tickets. The Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV) takes decisive action against unauthorized ticket trading. CHIO Aachen has teamed up with the Munich law firm Lentze Stopper to combat the black market. Loyal visitors often suffer from excessive prices and dealers face warnings, while buyers run the risk of purchasing invalid tickets.

The ALRV team is keeping a close eye on the secondary ticket market and is planning intensive monitoring of platforms such as eBay and Viagogo. Anyone can help by reporting irregularities to the email address tickets@chioaachen.de or by contacting the hotline 0241-917 1111.

An international highlight

The CHIO Aachen is not just a tournament, but an institution in international equestrian sport. Aachen Regio describes it as one of the most renowned equestrian tournaments in the world. Since it was first held in 1924, it has become an integral part of the equestrian calendar, not least because of its dramaturgical highlights such as the Aachen Grand Prix and the Nations Cup.

With a varied supporting program that includes shows, concerts and a culinary offering, the CHIO is also an attractive destination for families. Special features such as “Soerser Sonntag” attract with attractions for young and old. This makes it all the more important to secure tickets in advance and be there on time, because the best seats go quickly!

The mix of sport, tradition and celebration makes the CHIO Aachen an event that attracts equestrian sports fans from all over the world. Be there and experience the fascination up close!
