Shooting festival in Heepen: A spectacle for the entire community
Heepen is in a party mood! From July 11th to 14th, 2025, the district will celebrate its traditional shooting festival, and the streets will be festively decorated in green and white flair. The reigning shooting king Alexander Wolf and his partner Mirco Herbers are at the center of the celebrations. On Sunday there was the last major appearance of the royal couple at the parade that led through the town center. Many hundreds of citizens took part, including the crown prince couple Anka and Frank Smidt as well as the beer king couple Kerstin and Michael Kipp, who gave the event an additional shine. The parade took place in wonderful weather in the Park am Hassebrock, where everyone came together to celebrate this important tradition. The Westfalen-Blatt reported that the new throne will be shot out on Monday and that anticipation is making thousands of hearts beat faster everywhere.

- 15 Uhr: Traditioneller Kuchenverkauf durch die Rotjacken.
- 19:15 Uhr: Preisverleihung im Festzelt.

- Schützenfrühstück mit Ehrengästen auf dem Schützenberg.
- 9:30 Uhr: Königsschießen zur Bestimmung des neuen Throns.
