Eurowings: New direct flights to Egypt from Cologne/Bonn are starting soon!

The anticipation of the winter holiday could soon become even greater in Cologne! From the end of October 2023, Eurowings will be expanding the flight offering at Cologne/Bonn Airport to include an exciting direct connection to Marsa Alam, Egypt. As a popular Red Sea destination, Marsa Alam attracts not only sun worshipers, but also diving and snorkeling fans who want to explore the colorful underwater world. GA.de reports that the new connection starts on October 26, 2025.

Marsa Alam is located approximately 270 kilometers south of Hurghada and is surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Over the years, this region has developed into an insider tip among holidaymakers in Egypt. The place has a lot to offer, especially for divers and snorkelers. The beauties of the underwater world invite you to enjoy the dives to the fullest. The location is often associated with pristine reefs and impressive biodiversity, making it a unique vacation spot. 24Rhein emphasizes that the exact frequency and flight times are not yet known, but the airline is continually improving its offering works.

Extended flight connections in winter

In addition to the new destination in Marsa Alam, the winter 2025/26 schedule will also include flights to Fez in Morocco and Erbil in Turkey. These destinations expand the portfolio of Eurowings, which wants to take advantage of the increasing demand for long-distance travel destinations in the cold season. Unfortunately, one destination will be canceled during these changes: Nice in the south of France will no longer be served from the end of October. The new flights offer fresh options for travelers who long for warmer climates in the winter months.

It is pleasing to see how Cologne/Bonn Airport is responding to the wishes of its passengers and is continually expanding the selection of holiday destinations in winter. So we can only hope that the new connections will soon announce all the details of the flight frequencies so that Cologne residents can plan their next dream vacation in the sun.
