Camping boom in NRW: Overnight stays reach new records!

The campsites in North Rhine-Westphalia continue to enjoy increasing popularity. In 2024, 233 campsites recorded an impressive 997,000 guest arrivals and around 2.65 million overnight stays. Compared to the previous year, this corresponds to an increase of around 5% and since 2015 the number of overnight stays has increased by an impressive 56% overall IT.NRW. The costs for overnight stays rose by a total of 5.8% compared to 2023. This development shows that camping holidays in NRW are still an attractive option, despite the increased costs. Top regions for camping

A look at the cheapest prices shows that the Tecklenburger Land is particularly attractive at just 25 euros per night.

The ADAC has chosen the best campsites in NRW. The competition is fierce and the top places are extremely popular. TheKalletal Camping Parkin the Lippe district made it to first place among the most sought-after campsites in 2024, after only being in eighth place in previous years.
