Kempfer-Walter triumphs: Let's go wins the M* show jumping!

Last Sunday afternoon, as part of exciting equestrian events, the M* jumping with a victory lap took place, where rider Anna Kempfer-Walter from the St. Georg Werne e.V. riding and driving club caused a sensation. With her horse “Off we go” she not only secured victory, but also provided the fastest fault-free pair after both runs. A true masterpiece that captivated the audience.

But Kempfer-Walter’s second horse, “Captain Cola”, also shone: she took third place and also showed a flawless performance. These successes are an expression of the high level of performance of the club, which, with over 700 members, is one of the largest in the Westphalia Equestrian Sports Association. The St. Georg Riding and Driving Club was founded in 1932 and enables numerous riders to immerse themselves in the world of equestrian sports.

Insights into the club

The club offers a variety of riding lessons led by an experienced team of trainers, including dressage instructors such as Sylvia Vorwick and jumping instructors such as Stephan Schwert. When you look at the membership fees, it quickly becomes clear that the love of equestrian sports also comes with a certain price. For example, the admission fees for under 18s are 51 euros and for adults 102 euros. Regular members pay between 130 and 200 euros for the use of the club facility in Ehringhausen, depending on the age group.

The board, under the leadership of Andreas Trouvain, continuously works to develop the association and to offer the members the best possible conditions. In addition to sport, the focus is also on community, which is strengthened through regular events and activities.

Equestrian sport at a glance

A recent study shows that equestrian sports are extremely popular in Germany. According to the German Equestrian Association, there are 2.32 million riders in this country, 840,000 of whom are regularly active. This number shows that interest in horses and how they are treated is consistently high. The horse owner figures also show that around 600,000 households keep their own horses and 920,000 households participate in horse riding.

Overall, the German horse industry generates an impressive 6.7 billion euros in annual sales, with 39% of expenditure being spent on horse keeping and 61% on retail and services. These figures not only demonstrate the economic importance of equestrian sports, but also the close connection people have with these majestic animals.

The successes of Anna Kempfer-Walter and other members of the St. Georg Werne riding and driving club are not only an individual highlight, but also testify to the strong community and high equestrian tradition in the region. Anyone who would like to immerse themselves in the world of equestrian sport will find excellent conditions in the club.
