Seven companies from Coesfeld honored: Strong for the climate and the environment!

On November 4, 2025, Vischering Castle was the impressive venue where seven companies from the Coesfeld district were honored for their exemplary commitment to environmental and climate protection. The ceremony, which celebrated the successes of the participants in the ÖKOPROFIT® program, highlighted the importance of sustainable and crisis-resistant economic strategies in today's world. As reported by kreis-coesfeld.de, District Administrator Dr. Christian Schulze Pellengahr praised the companies' tireless commitment and focused on the need to actively contribute to climate protection.

Among the companies honored are well-known companies such as Damhus GmbH & Co. KG - Meistergriller from Rosendahl, NUVIA Instruments GmbH from Dülmen, Metrica Interior from the Senden and Holtwick locations, MesseService Michael Janert from Nottuln, M2 Carpets also from Nottuln, and the district police authority. All seven companies drew a positive conclusion from the project period, during which they worked intensively on solutions to reduce emissions and conserve resources. These measures are crucial in view of the challenges of climate change and prove that environmentally friendly actions can also be economically profitable.

The ÖKOPROFIT® program

As part of the ÖKOPROFIT® program, which is funded by the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia and supported by Sparkasse Westmünsterland, the participating companies worked on systematic resource controlling. The aim was to improve the environmental balance and increase efficiency. The 4th round of this valuable program is being carried out in collaboration with the Coesfeld Economic Development Corporation (wfc) and is initiated in the context of the Climate Pact. Interested companies can register now for future rounds with climate protection manager Kristin Neumann.

A special treat for all climate and environmentally conscious entrepreneurs: Further information is available on the Coesfeld district's climate protection page, so that everyone has access to valuable resources to make their own business sustainable. Because in business this is both the order of the day and a real competitive advantage that pays off in the long term.

What's next?

With this award and the support of the ÖKOPROFIT® program, the companies show that they have a good knack for sustainable practices. In today's ever-changing business world, it is essential to take proactive approaches to set environmental standards and stay ahead of the curve.

So the question remains: what will come next? Which company will take the next steps to improve its environmental performance? That remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the commitment to a sustainable future is entering the next round in Coesfeld and is being followed closely by many.
