Christmas magic in Havixbeck: 120 exhibitors in the winter paradise!
The pre-Christmas season is just around the corner, and a true winter paradise will be created in the Hülshoff moated castle in Havixbeck from November 7th to 9th, 2025. Over 120 exhibitors present their handmade products and winter gift ideas that will make every visitor's heart beat faster. The day ticket is available for 12 euros, but only online - a real treat are the early bird tickets, which were sold until October 30th for 10.20 euros. Children up to 16 years of age only pay one euro entry, while severely disabled people can get reduced tickets for 11 euros.
Hours for this special event are Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Light installations that bathe the castle in an enchanting light create the right ambience, while live music ensures a good atmosphere on all three days. Details about the program will be announced two weeks before the event.
A culinary festival
The culinary offering is also extremely diverse: from fine almond pastries to handmade chocolates to savory specialties - there is something here for every palate. The exhibitors not only present delicacies, but also design ideas, decorations, fashion and accessories. If you are looking for the perfect gift ideas, you will definitely find them here. The event is organized by “Gartentraeume B.V.”, an experienced organizer that has been organizing trade fairs in Germany for almost 30 years.
The Christmas season is not only celebrated in Havixbeck, as there are over 2,500 Christmas markets across Germany that invite you to visit them. These markets offer a special pre-Christmas atmosphere with gingerbread, roasted almonds and festive music. Some of the most beautiful Christmas markets include the Dresden Striezelmarkt and the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt, both of which are popular far beyond the country's borders. On short trips during Advent, many people take the opportunity to explore different markets and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
The Christmas market in Munich
A very special highlight this Advent season will also be the Munich Christmas market at Marienplatz. This traditional market, which dates back to the 14th century, takes place from November 24th to December 24th, 2025. Here, visitors can not only marvel at a large nativity scene market, but also take part in a children's workshop or listen to the sounds of live music playing from the balcony of the town hall.
Guests can also enjoy other atmospheric markets in Munich, such as the Viktualienmarkt, which takes place from November 21st to January 5th, 2026. Here the focus is primarily on regional food and life in the city, which is made even more lively by the cheerful Christmas atmosphere.
Christmas markets in Germany are not just an opportunity to sample festive treats, they are also an important part of culture and social life. So you can look forward to a magical Christmas season, be it in Havixbeck, Munich or one of the many other romantic places where the lights shine and the smell of mulled wine and cinnamon fills the air.
The various Christmas markets are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your homeland, tradition and crafts and to prepare yourself for the contemplative time. If you don't know exactly where you're going, you'll have enough time in the coming weeks to explore the best markets and enjoy the pre-Christmas atmosphere to the fullest.
