On July 3, 2025, a new gastronomic highlight will open in Düsseldorf: Papai’s. From 11 a.m. the first guests at Kölner Straße 52 can immerse themselves in a new kebab experience. Bülent Gök, a car mechanic from Bremen, has made it his mission to revolutionize the classic kebab. In just nine months he developed “the best kebab in Bremen” before launching the Papai’s franchise concept together with Kilic and Emre Aydin. The goal is to establish Papai’s as a system restaurant that not only works in Bremen and Hanover, but also in other cities.
The concept of Papai’s
The design and style of the Düsseldorf branch pays homage to the locations in Bremen and Hanover. Here, a modern ambience with brick walls and red tiles meets graffiti artwork and a stainless steel bar. The innovative technology used at the location is interesting: a kebab meat preparation robot ensures that the food is prepared quickly and in portions. Ordering is very easy at three computer terminals.
The heart of the menu is the steak sandwich, which is available for 9 euros. Here guests can choose between young bull meat and a secret spice blend. There are also three of seven different homemade sauces to choose from, while fresh ingredients such as lettuce, cucumbers and fried vegetables are a must. Vegetarians and vegans can look forward to the Veggi bag, which is available for 7.50 euros.
