Starbulls Rosenheim celebrate a triumphant 6-1 win in Düsseldorf!
A successful evening for the Starbulls Rosenheim: On the 14th matchday of the DEL2 they triumphed 6-1 against Düsseldorfer EG in the PSD Bank Dome. Over 500 loyal fans celebrated with the players and created an overwhelming atmosphere among the 8,733 spectators. The victory follows an impressive 5-0 win against Weiden, which already set the tone for the evening.
Ville Järveläinen started the scoring with his first goal in the second minute. Just a short time later, in the 13th minute, Jordan Taupert and Luigi Calce followed, together extending the lead to 3-0. Düsseldorf made it 1:3 through Maximilian Faber in the 16th minute, but the Starbulls were unimpressed and dominated the game.
An exciting duel with a clear result
In the second third the tide temporarily turned. The Düsseldorf team seemed braver, but couldn't create any real chances that would have turned the game around. The Starbulls, on the other hand, prevailed again in the final third: Järveläinen scored his brace in the 46th minute, followed by Taupert, who made it 5-1 just a minute later. Joel Keussen finally put the finishing touches with his goal and sealed the 6-1 win.
After the game, Starbulls head coach Jari Pasanen was thrilled with his team's performance and the fantastic support from the fans. “We are currently the best away team in the league and have now collected 26 points from 14 games,” said Pasanen.
Looking into the future
The next challenge for the Starbulls is already in the pipeline. The game continues on the Friday after next in the ROFA Stadium against the Bietigheim Steelers. The league previously paused due to the “Germany Cup” international tournament.
The Starbulls' current successes are a reason to be happy for the fans and an integral part of the ice hockey scene in the region. For the Rosenheimers, it's nice to see how their team not only performs brilliantly on the ice, but also climbs to fourth place in the DEL2 table and leaves the DEG behind.
So it remains to be hoped that the momentum from the last few games can be carried over into the coming games and that the Starbulls will continue to be very popular.
