Anyone planning to use the A46 near Düsseldorf in the coming weeks should be prepared for some restrictions. On Friday, June 27, 2025, the motorway between the Düsseldorf-Bilk and Neuss-Uedesheim junctions will be completely closed from 10 p.m. until Monday, June 30, 2025, at 5 a.m. These are not short-term measures, but rather part of planned construction work to ensure road safety. Loud 24Rhine Rope tests and corrosion protection work on the Flehe Rhine bridge are on the agenda.
After the first full closure, traffic will be handled under restricted conditions from June 30th until probably July 14th, 2025. During this time, only two lanes will be open in each direction. Anyone traveling in the region must therefore expect a changed traffic situation. Why these measures are important
