Seniors' meeting point Ratingen-Süd invites you to a festive goose dinner in the brewery!

A special event is just around the corner in Ratingen-Süd: Next Tuesday, November 11th, the Ratingen-Süd senior citizens' meeting together with the settler community from 1936 invites you to a social meeting in the Ratingen Brauhaus. From 12.30 p.m., participants can enjoy being together in the district with a tasty goose menu and a glass of beer or wine. A menu with side dishes is served for 29.50 euros per person, although an à la carte order is also possible. Organizer Martina Schröder emphasizes that this meeting is part of the “Stories from the Neighborhood” project, which aims to strengthen contacts within the neighborhood.

The seniors' meeting has recently attracted attention with various events. Most recently, an Easter café took place, which met with great interest. Around 50 participants, including many members of the Protestant community, took the opportunity to chat over coffee, champagne and Easter plait. Martina Schröder emphasizes the desire to be an anchor in the district and to actively promote the neighborhood. This also includes a picture wall with historical photos, which awakens memories for those present and leads to a lively exchange.

Promote a shared coexistence

The event on St. Martin's Day is not only a culinary introduction to the winter season, but also an important part of the effort to strengthen the community. The seniors' meeting aims to create a feeling of belonging across all generations. At the last Easter event, stories about previous shops in Ratingen created a nostalgic atmosphere, with Heinz Venhoff sharing anecdotes from his childhood. Such stories not only make visitors smile, they also promote dialogue among themselves.
