A violent fire caused a stir in the Neuss port area on the morning of November 4th, 2025. Loud n-tv The fire broke out in the area of a machine on the third floor of a production hall. The first emergency services were alerted when thick smoke was already coming from the building. Despite the fire department's quick response, employees initially tried to put out the fire themselves, but were unsuccessful.
A total of two employees were injured - one of them had to be taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. Another colleague received outpatient treatment. The fire department was able to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings, but it spread to other parts of the facility, a floor above and the roof.
Emergency services and fire protection measures
The extinguishing work took around two hours until the fire was under control. The extinguishing work lasted until the evening and a fire watch remained on site overnight to ensure safety. Fortunately, the air measurements in the area did not reveal any abnormalities, as the fire department was able to determine. A warning message was issued via the Nina app to warn the population of the heavy smoke.
The exact cause of the fire is currently unclear and the police have started an investigation to determine the damage. So far there is no information about the extent of the damage; the clean-up work is in full swing.
Today's events clearly show how important it is to have quick and effective firefighting measures. The community is grateful that the damage was kept to a minimum and that the health of employees was the top priority.
