Energy meets the future: Discover craft opportunities in Gelsenkirchen!

The craft faces an exciting future, which will be discussed on November 12, 2025 at the H2PopUpLab in Gelsenkirchen. Under the title “Energy meets the future – your path in the trades”, the Münster Chamber of Crafts Education Center, HBZ for short, invites you to an event that deals with the opportunities and prospects in the trades. From 12 p.m., those interested can immerse themselves in the world of energy and explore the connection between crafts and the urgently needed energy transition. Participation is free and registration is not required.

The event is part of the Science Year 2025, which deals with the topic of “Future Energy”. Here we take a look at the innovative training and further education opportunities in the craft sector. Participants can look forward to interesting discussions with experts and find out about important funding programs such as the Advancement BAföG. If you want to get to know modern technologies and find out more about career paths in energy technology, you've come to the right place. The HBZ Münster will also be happy to answer any questions or provide information on 0251 7050.

Energy: A key concept for the future

But what does energy actually mean? Loud Britannica In physics, energy is the ability to do work and can exist in various forms such as potential, kinetic and thermal energy. These different forms of energy are the driving forces behind all physical processes and play a crucial role in our everyday lives. Regardless of whether it is generating electricity through wind power or operating an electric car, every system that uses energy relies on efficient conversion processes.

The art of energy conversion will also be discussed at the upcoming event. Finally, the transformation of the energy system must be promoted in order to reduce our ecological footprint. With the energy transition as Germany's central approach, we should reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and switch to renewable energies such as wind power and solar energy. And let's not forget electromobility: it is closely linked to the further development of battery technologies and their efficiency. This will have a lasting impact on future energy concepts, explains the Fraunhofer Academy.

The event on November 12th not only offers an insight into the exciting developments in the craft sector, but also the opportunity to actively participate in the energy transition. Because the challenges we face require committed specialists who are prepared to break new ground. Come by and become part of this pioneering initiative!
