Iron Maiden rock Gelsenkirchen: anniversary concert on July 11, 2025!

The anticipation among metal fans can hardly be contained! On July 11, 2025, the legendary band Iron Maiden is expected at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen. On this special evening the band celebrates its 50th anniversary and promises a concert that will go down in history. As Ruhr24 reports, the classics and fan favorites from the first nine albums will be on the setlist, which only increases the excitement.

The “Run For Your Lives World Tour” begins on May 27, 2024 in Budapest and extends over 27 spectacular shows in Europe, including in German cities such as Bremen, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Berlin. As Veltins-Arena emphasizes, there will be early ticket sales for members of the Iron Maiden fan club. The anticipation for the concerts is palpable among fans and musicians alike. Manager Rod Smallwood speaks of the performances as a unique live experience and frontman Bruce Dickinson also emphasizes the special atmosphere for the audience.

Arrival and parking options

If you want to travel by car, you can choose between several exits on the A2 and A42 motorways. A total of an impressive 14,000 parking spaces are available, divided into several areas such as A, B, C1 to C3 and D1 to D4. For those who prefer public transport, tram line 302 takes concert-goers directly from Gelsenkirchen's main train station to the “Veltins-Arena” stop. This is barrier-free and offers enough space for wheelchair users and severely disabled people.

For the cyclists among the fans, there are around 600 bicycle parking spaces available on the northwest side of the stadium. While preparations for the concert evening are in full swing, over a million tickets for the European shows have been sold so far, as RND reports.

An unforgettable anniversary

The anniversary day on July 11, 2025 marks not only a musical highlight, but also an emotional event for the band and its loyal fan base. After all, Iron Maiden was founded by Steve Harris in 1975 and has made music history ever since. For many, experiencing the legends of heavy metal live is a dream come true. Their drummer Nicko McBrain has retired from touring after a stroke, but the band is supported by Simon Dawson and continues to stand for musical excellence and spectacular stage shows.

For fans who haven't been able to get a ticket yet, it's time to be quick, because the chances will dwindle. With the Trooper VIP packages and special hospitality tickets available through FC Schalke 04, no wish remains unfulfilled. Be there when Iron Maiden rock the Veltins Arena and celebrate what they have achieved in 50 years. You shouldn't miss this!
