Golden Wedding at the Fürstenhof: A celebration of love and loyalty!

On November 18, 2025, a very special anniversary will be celebrated in the ARD series “Sturm der Liebe”: Hildegard and Alfons Sonnbichler are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary, i.e. 50 years full of ups and downs. This special event will be presented in the 4,500th episode of the popular series and the anticipation is already huge. Loud Explosive The main actors Antje Hagen and Sepp Schauer – part of the program since the first episode – are the focus of the celebrations.

But who will come to the celebration? Of course, the son Alexander, played brilliantly by Gregory B. Waldis, and the grandson Leander Saalfeld, played by Marcel Zuschlag, should not be missing. The charming Clara Lechner, played by Jeannine Michèle Wacker, the spirited Nicole Alves (Dionne Wudu) and Alfons' trusted brother Günther Sonnbichler, played by Johann Schuler, are also invited as special guests. A line-up that really mixes up the celebrations!

A look into wedding history

When we talk about weddings, we can't help but look at the traditions that come from history. Marriage has always been an event of great importance in many cultures. In ancient times, as in Greece and Rome, marriage was often viewed as a civil matter negotiated by families. The woman usually brought a dowry, and the groom led the bride home in a ceremonial procession, like Wikipedia describes.

The Christian tradition on which many wedding celebrations today look back has developed over the centuries. Although the church wedding was not always considered mandatory, the bride and groom's vow is considered a central component. Modern customs such as hen parties and honeymoons, which are widespread in Western culture, come together and give weddings a special splendor.

Changes in the “Storm of Love”

Speaking of changes: In the coming episode, Dr. Michael Niederbühl, played by Erich Altenkopf, left the series after 16 years. This will certainly cause some tears – both in the audience and in the Fürstenhof. Changes are becoming more and more part of the series, but the Sonnbichlers' golden wedding anniversary will undoubtedly be a special highlight.

Once again it shows that love - whether in real life or on the screen - has its own rules and stories. One thing is certain: The anticipation for the 4,500th episode of “Sturm der Liebe” will continue to grow, while fans can look forward to the celebrations and nostalgic looks back into the history of the Sonnbichlers!
