Preparations for the coming season at ASV Hamm-Westphalia are in full swing. The sporting director Micky Reiners and managing director Markus Fuchs have worked hard in the last few days to reshape the squad for the new challenge in the third division after relegation from the second division. Particularly pleasing: Backcourt player Niklas Gautzsch will join the team to contribute his qualities in the left backcourt. The 2.07 meter tall player is moving from Recken Hannover to the Hammers and could make a decisive contribution to their promotion after being the top scorer for the Burgdorfer Bundesliga reserves in the Lower Saxony Regionalliga last season. Gautzsch already has experience as he has already had a few appearances in the first division and scored four goals.
In addition, Jan Brosch returns to ASV after moving to TBV Lemgo in 2022. He is excited about his return and is looking forward to seeing old friends again. Squad restructuring and new additions
Preparation for the 2025/2026 season has already begun, although the squad is still incomplete, as coach Jörn-Uwe Lommel explains. Ivan Budalic will also be hired as goalkeeper to guard the goal together with Marcos Colodeti. Further reinforcements are being planned as there are still three players missing to complete the team.
The general schedule for the 3rd League North-West includes an exciting start to the season against Ahlener SG, which is scheduled to take place between August 22nd and 24th. The team's first away trip will be to Wilhelmshavener SV on August 30th. On September 13th they will play against HSG Varel before playing a home game against TV Bissendorf-Holte. Unfortunately, the fans have to say a painful goodbye to players like Julius Meyer-Siebert, Ian Hütter and Jonas Stüber, who will no longer play for ASV next season. However, cyclist Jann-Keno Jacobs will remain with the team.
