On Monday the time had come: The Start of training for the new tackle team of the Black Barons has taken place. In the sports hall of the secondary school at the castle, the basics of American football were explained and immediately put into practice. The participants took part with a lot of enthusiasm and joy and have already announced that they will come back to the next training session. The team is currently being completely rebuilt and warmly welcomes newcomers. No player will be excluded from the training sessions, which take place on Mondays at 8:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Horststadion in Herne.
The great interest in the sport is reflected not only in participation, but also in the search for reinforcements for the team. As in another report by Hello Herne can be read, the Black Barons are looking for support in all areas - be it for youth, seniors or in the coaching and staff area. This search is particularly exciting because two new youth coaches, Timothy Masuch and David Hötten, are on board. Masuch, a native of the Black Barons, has previously gained experience as a youth coach, while Hötten, a player in the senior team, has worked hard on his playing strength over the last two years.

The Black Barons warmly welcome anyone interested to contact info@herne-blackbarons.de or simply stop by the training. Here everyone has the opportunity to discover their passion for American football, regardless of previous knowledge. Whether for young people or seniors – all age groups are in demand.
Currently, the team is not only turning heads on the field, but also off the field by fostering a strong and collaborative environment. It is exciting to watch how the club, which is traditionally rooted in the region, is reinventing itself while at the same time sticking to its roots.
Overall, it shows that sport and the sense of community are very important to the Black Barons. The community strives not only to attract players, but also to strengthen solidarity in the region and promote interest in American football, which is also important in the context of social developments. After all, issues such as the challenges of the middle class are not only on everyone's lips, but also influence how communities can work together and grow, as seen in Bill Moyers' PBS documentary, which reports on the divisions in society and emphasizes the importance of an engaged middle class.
