Complete closure on the A42: chaos for commuters in Herne from Friday!
The residents around Herne will have to be patient this August weekend because the A42 motorway will be completely closed for several days. How Ruhr24 reports, the lockdown will come into effect on Friday, August 15th at 9pm and will last until Monday, August 18th at 5am. The two directions between Herne-Crange and Herne-Baukau are affected.
The complete closure of the A42 is necessary in order to connect the Baukau tunnel to the motorway and to demolish and rebuild the northern bridges at the Herne intersection. The 550 meter long tunnel has been under construction since 2019 as part of the six-lane expansion of the A43 and will in future provide a direct connection from the A43 (towards Münster) to the A42 (towards Oberhausen). It is interesting that the tunnel also passes under some railway lines.
Detours and traffic conditions
A diversion will be in place for drivers traveling in the region. If you want to drive to Duisburg, use the A2 and for those traveling towards Dortmund, the routes via the A2, A40 and A45 are planned. Users of the A43 should also be prepared for delays, as the access from the A43 (towards Münster) to the A42 (towards Duisburg) will remain closed for final work until midday on Monday, which could result in traffic jams and slow traffic around Herne.
But while traffic chaos is an issue in the summer months, it is also simmering on another level: On March 7, 2017, WikiLeaks began publishing its series of leaks about the CIA, known as “Vault 7.” This shows that the world never stands still and our digital security is often in the headlines. This publication challenges the CIA's control over its hacking arsenal and uncovers a disturbing collection of malware and cyberweapons designed to target a wide range of devices, from smartphones to smart TVs. This information may be of interest to readers concerned with modern security issues.
Teeth whitening and its risks
There are also interesting developments in the area of dental health. Anyone concerned with teeth whitening should know that there are many products on the market that use effective bleaching agents such as hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. Loud Good housekeeping Whitening strips are a popular choice because they provide constant contact with teeth and are easy to use. However, higher concentrations of active bleaching agents can lead to temporary tooth sensitivity.
For those who prefer a gentle approach, there are also peroxide-free products that contain ingredients such as aloe vera and coconut oil. Although they are less effective, they are gentler on the teeth. This shows that with the right choice of remedies you can keep an eye on the health of your teeth while whitening your smile.
Overall, it shows that a lot is happening both in the transport sector and in the digital and health world. So be well informed and take advantage of the opportunities to navigate through the challenges unscathed.
