Start-up series in the Kleve district: Your path to successful self-employment!
A lot is happening in the Kleve region: On November 5, 2025, the Kleve District Economic Development Agency launched the start-up series “Inform – Plan – Start Up”. This initiative is aimed at all those who want to take the plunge into self-employment or find out about the various start-up opportunities. Brigitte Jansen, Managing Director of Economic Development, warmly welcomed the participants and opened the event with exciting lectures from experts.
In the first lecture, Christian Fischer from KPP Steuerberatungsgesellschaft explained which key components are important for a successful start-up: In addition to a viable idea, he emphasized personal suitability and an individualized start-up roadmap. It continued with Ulrich Lippe from the Düsseldorf Chamber of Crafts, who presented company succession as an alternative to starting a new business. Holger Schnapka from the Lower Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce gave valuable insights into the development of a business plan, which is necessary to convince banks and funding agencies. The conclusion was a lecture by Frauke Birk from the L.N. Schaffrath GmbH, who spoke about effective marketing strategies and digital marketing channels.
Continuation of the founder series
The founder series will continue on November 12th in Uedem and November 19th in Kleve, both at 3 p.m. Anyone who is interested can easily register for these free events via the Kleve District Economic Development website. But it's not just the start-up scene that is heavily investing in and around Kleve. Tourism has also received a boost. The hotels in Gelderland, close by, provide a comfortable base for travelers wanting to explore the beautiful surroundings. Whether for relaxing cycling or hiking tours or visiting local attractions - the accommodations score points with their location and the range of amenities they offer. There is a lot to choose from here, and each hotel has its own charm and a different number of rooms, so there is something to suit every taste.
With this combination of economic development and tourist attractiveness, the Kleve district has a lot to offer. Anyone who is interested in the Founders' Series or is planning to visit the region should take note of the next dates and offers. There is a lot to discover and even more to experience in Kleve!
