Rheinberg women conquer Kleve: An unforgettable pastor’s trip!

A happy excursion by the Catholic Women's Community (kfd) St. Peter/St. Marien brought a total of 38 women to Kleve on July 10, 2025. The program included a very personal visit with Pastor Dino Kakumanu, who has been working in Kleve for a year, but previously worked in Rheinberg for twelve years. The women were warmly welcomed at the St. Mary's Assumption Parish Center. RP Online reports that the kfd team from Kleve and Pastor Kakumanu welcomed the guests together and invited them to a round coffee table with homemade cake.

The coffee round was not only a social gathering, but also a generous gesture: the women presented Pastor Kakumanu with a financial gift of 300 euros. This amount will go to a valuable project run by his mother in India, which the kfd would like to support. A big thank you went out to all the donors who made this donation possible.

Shared experiences in Kleve

After the coffee session, some women took the opportunity to take a short stroll through the city center of Kleve, while another group took a walk to the impressive Schwanenburg. The participants also had the opportunity to take part in a church window tour of the Collegiate Church of the Assumption of Mary, which offered many exciting insights into the history and art of the church.

The final highlight of the day was the evening community service, which Pastor Kakumanu celebrated himself. The Rheinberg women were honorably invited to take part in this service. They made the day not only a festive but also a spiritual experience that they will certainly remember fondly.

The annual trip of the kfd St. Peter/St. St. Mary's once again became a break in life that combined community and spirituality. Catholic added in Rheinberg the impressions and emphasizes how nice it was to revive old connections together and create new memories.
