Lippe's Wushu fighters shine at the World Cup with sensational successes!

On October 27, 2025, Brazil's capital Brasília was a veritable mecca for Wushu enthusiasts as the 17th World Wushu Championships took place there for the first time in Latin America. Around 1,000 athletes from 80 countries competed against each other to show off their skills. The event was hosted by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) organized and ensured exciting competitions in the martial discipline.

Among the participants was the Wushu & Martial Arts Club Lippe, which was represented in the German national team by four talented Taolu athletes: Heinrich Wolf, Konstanzia Merten, Jean Michel Merten and Anastasia Merten. Particularly noteworthy is Jean Michel Merten, who took 8th place in the Daoshu saber form with 9.623 points and scored 9.470 points in the Gunshu stick form. This shows how high the standard of the German participants was and sheds light on their outstanding achievements. The best World Cup forms of the German national team can be admired on the Wushu Lippe YouTube channel.

Successes at the German Championships

The successes of Wushu athletes are not limited to international stages. At the last competition in Heidelberg, the club's Sanda fighters showed an impressive performance. Sergej Merten was the referee, while the Sanda team won the team competition with three gold medals (won by Julia Maier, Konstanzia Merten, Enes Basaran) and one silver medal (Stefan Krebs). What a great record!

But the successes didn't stop there: Anastasia Merten became German champion in the U18 category in Taolu with her competition form Jianshu, while she secured the runner-up title with the WKF fist form Changquan. But Victoria Loris also knew how to convince and won the German championship title in the U45 with her fist form and the runner-up title with her sword form. The list of other runners-up, including Mia Viktoria Faltenberg, Adeline Fischer, Felix Heibel, Jack Julius Merten and Jana Unruh, shows that the Wushu & Martial Arts Club Lippe has a broad and strong team.

Medal shower for Taolu team

The eleven-member Taolu team made the success perfect by winning a total of 2 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. These successes will be honored at the upcoming sports gala of the Lippe District Sports Association, where the talented athletes will be in the spotlight. There is something big in the air and the excitement for the gala is already palpable!

The achievements of the Wushu athletes from Lippe are not only a reason for joy for their fans, but also a clear sign of the growing interest in this fascinating sport. Even though the Wushu scene in Germany is still in its infancy, the club is showing promising development with its successes.

It's not just sports that are going strong, things are also happening in the financial sector. The Megatrend stocks show an exciting development and began in 1999 with a value of 10,000. Despite the interim volatile times, which were characterized by significant fluctuations, the value of the Megatrend shares rose to an impressive 8,628,000 on October 31, 2021. The correlation with the Nasdaq 100 is also impressive, which reached a value of 58,252 on October 24, 2025. It is obvious that both in sport and in finance, a good hand and patience are required.
