TBV Lemgo Lippe is off to a brilliant start in preparation for the 2025/26 season!

On Tuesday, July 15th, TBV Lemgo Lippe officially began preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 Bundesliga season. Head coach Florian Kehrmann gathered his team in the Phoenix Contact Arena, where the starting shot went off at 3 p.m. After a five-week summer break, it was time for the players to get back into training. All athletes followed individual training plans to stay fit despite the break.

The intensive preparation phase lasts a month and a half and, in addition to the training sessions, will also include performance diagnostics, media appointments and test matches. The team is particularly excited about the first form test on Saturday, July 19th, against Sportfreunde Loxten in the Sparkasse Arena Versmold at 4 p.m.

Newcomers introduce themselves

This season, TBV fans can look forward to four new additions, all of whom were introduced at the start of training: Adam Nyfjäll (shirt number 22), Joel Willecke (shirt number 24) and Jan Mudrow (shirt number 7) will be wearing the TBV jersey for the first time. Linus Borreck will be another new addition to the team, but was not present at the start because he was busy with Team HandbALL.

The preparation time also includes a lot of team spirit. A traditional outfitting was carried out on the opening day with 1,800 new items of equipment from the new supplier Kempa. With a lot of enthusiasm and care, the training staff around Kehrmann took over the first indoor session after Alexander David's warm-up. In addition to the training, there was also an intensive football duel between the young team, the old team and the medium team, which ultimately ended narrowly in favor of the young players.

Tournaments and test matches in focus

After the first test match against Sportfreunde Loxten, exciting competitions are already on the agenda. The team will take part in the ALPLA Summer Cup in Hard, Austria, with the aim of defending the title. In addition, participation in the Spielo Cup in Lübbecke on August 9th and 10th and the Wartburg Cup in Eisenach from August 15th to 17th are on the agenda, where SC Magdeburg is also on the program.

The coming weeks are crucial for TBV Lemgo Lippe to optimally prepare for the Bundesliga season. The club announces that they are looking forward to the challenges ahead. The association's office will remain closed during preparations from July 14th to August 4th, but online ticket sales will continue during this time.
