In Lippetal, North Rhine-Westphalia, a young farmer is causing a stir: Friedrich Dieckmann is taking part in the 21st season of “Bauer sucht Frau” – and is already breaking all records! With more applications than ever before, the 29-year-old even surpasses the previous record holder Patrick Romer from the 16th season. The exact number of applications remains secret from RTL, but one thing is clear: Dieckmann received a lot of support and is thinking a lot about the future.
On his farm in Niederbauer, where he and his family grow green asparagus as well as wheat, barley, triticale, field beans and corn, Friedrich is looking for a partner who is animal-loving, loving and humorous. His big dream? Start a family with this dream woman and eventually hand the farm over to his children. “Life on the farm is characterized by support and cooperation,” said Dieckmann in one of his posts on social media.
Diverse interests and a large following
Friedrich is not only a committed farmer, but also a passionate triathlete. In his free time, he regularly trains in cycling, swimming and running. He also enjoys playing tennis, soccer and volleyball. He has a sizeable fan base of 39,000 followers on Instagram, whom he delights with insights into his country life and his path to finding a partner. He also uses the platform to promote fashion brands and ask his fans for hairstyle advice.
In the first episode of the new season he meets four applicants at the barn festival: Natascha (28), Laura (26), Katharina (30) and Selina (25). The first episode can be watched in advance on RTL+ and will be broadcast on television on Monday, November 3rd at 8:15 p.m. So excitement is inevitable!

But it's not just Friedrich who makes headlines. Another participant, Johann, lost his wife to cancer and now wants to make her last wish come true. “Bauer sucht Frau” is not just about love, but also about touching life stories. Friedrich himself has a few personal quirks: he often comes late, likes to eat a lot and has a weakness for Nutella with butter. Regardless of these small peculiarities, he shows himself to be an impatient but also motivated person.
