Grazyna Kowalski is retiring after 30 years – a heartfelt farewell

After 30 years of dedicated work at Pertheshaus, Grazyna Kowalski is now in her well-deserved retirement. How come-on.de reported, their farewell took place in a moving service and a subsequent ceremony in the Pertheshaus. In these two festive settings, not only numerous friends and colleagues come together, but also important personalities such as Mayor Birgit Tupat and Pastor Mara Schwäbe, who paid her the honor.

Rolf Lohscheller, division manager of Perthes-Altenhilfe Süd, did not miss the opportunity to acknowledge Kowalski's tireless commitment and her extraordinary warmth. “She gave everything over these three decades and we will greatly miss her strength and professionalism,” he noted. In the midst of this warm atmosphere, Kowalski expressed his wish not to disappear completely from the scene and to come back to the Pertheshaus if necessary.

A new wind in the nursing management office

With Kowalski's retirement, 28-year-old Madita Köpke is now taking over the position of nursing manager at Pertheshaus. She has already settled well into the new role. Lohscheller confirmed that Köpke has the necessary professional competence and commitment to people. “I want to listen and support before I make changes,” said the new nursing manager.

The ever-growing need for qualified nursing staff shows the importance of the nursing profession, especially in facilities such as the Pertheshaus, which is part of the Evangelische Perthes-Stiftung e. V. heard. The foundation not only offers care for the elderly, but also provides training positions. A generalist training course is offered that imparts knowledge in both geriatric care and nursing. In an area that is becoming increasingly important, the Perthes Foundation ensures solid training for its specialists. Those interested can find further information about the training on the website perthes-stiftung.de.

The Pertheshaus in the center

The Pertheshaus, located at Zwilling-Scholl-Straße 25 in Nachrodt, is one of many facilities of the Evangelical Perthes Foundation, which is present throughout the region. The foundation places a community focus on caring for older people and offers extensive support to promote the independence of the older generation. Outpatient care and psychosocial care, especially for people with dementia, are also integral parts of the offer.

The foundation not only contributes to the quality of life of the people it cares for, but also relies on diaconal values such as charity and care. In order to meet the increasing demands in the nursing sector, the foundation also offers further training opportunities in various specialist areas.

The handover in Pertheshaus symbolizes the changing landscape of care, which requires new impulses and fresh ideas. Kowalski's combined experience and Köpke's commitment are a good recipe for the future of care in the facility.
