Strong girls from nine: self-assertion in the Märkisches Kreis!
In the beautiful surroundings of the Märkischer Kreis youth education center in Lüdenscheid, a special seminar will take place from August 29th to 31st that invites girls aged 9 to 11 to discover their inner strength. The program is entitled “Strong Girls from Nine” and not only offers exciting workshops on self-assertion, but also the opportunity to stay overnight. The event is supported by trainers Elena Rempel and Luisa Bergmann, who serve as mentors with a lot of experience and commitment.
The main goal of the seminar? Participants should become aware of their own strength and learn to practice physical self-defense. At a time when self-confidence and self-defense are becoming increasingly important, such an offer is exactly the right thing to prepare girls for their future. Events begin on Friday, August 29th at 6pm and end on Sunday, August 31st at 3pm.
Registration details and costs
A limited number of participants ensures that all girls receive enough space and attention to develop their skills in these intensive hours. With a registration deadline of August 14th, those interested are well advised to act quickly to secure their place. The cost of the seminar is 56.25 euros for girls from the district youth welfare office (such as Balve and Neuenrade) and 84.40 euros for participants from cities with their own youth welfare office.
If you need more information or would like to register directly, you can find it here here or on the Märkischer Kreis website under the keyword education plan. If you have any questions, please contact Martina Eisenfelder on 02351 / 966-5932.
Self-assertion and violence prevention
In keeping with the comprehensive self-defense programs offered under the motto “No Means No!” are offered, the focus will also be on violence prevention. In these courses, girls, women and trans women receive valuable tools to assert themselves in threatening situations. The basic concept includes theoretical content on recognizing dangers as well as practical self-defense techniques that can be of immense use in an emergency.
The courses not only offer protection against gender-based violence, but also strengthen self-confidence. A central goal is to enable participants to set clearer boundaries and develop their own ability to act without falling into common victim stereotypes. These offers are becoming increasingly important as they help girls and women to move more safely and confidently in an often uncertain world. It is all the more pleasing that such seminars are also offered in the Cologne area. Anyone who is interested in such empowerment should seize the opportunity and register!
