Another important issue that touches the heart: The foster care system offers temporary housing to children in need and relies on the support of foster parents. Patience and a safe home for the little ones are of great importance. At the adoption agency, all foster parents must undergo extensive vetting to ensure they can provide a loving environment. Prospective parents often find the wait particularly challenging, but the joy of supporting a child in need is priceless, as Youth Villages describes.

The experiences in this area are diverse: some people are drawn to this task at an early age, others discover the desire to do something good and make a contribution to society over the course of their lives. Child protection staff are ready to help and accompany foster parents through the process.
