Summer highlights: regatta, open-air cinema and art for everyone!
What is happening in the region? There are numerous exciting events on the program in Hilden and its neighboring towns on July 19th and 20th. The highlights range from sporting activities to cultural events and entertaining workshops.
A particular focus is on theElbsee regatta, which is organized by the Hilden sailing community. On July 19th and 20th, water sports fans can experience numerous exciting runs on Lake Elbsee from 12 p.m. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday at 2 p.m. and entry is free! Spectators are welcome to cheer on the athletes.
Cultural highlights in the Haan summer
This is of great importanceHaan summerone that is celebrated on the same day. The Haaner Sommer e.V. association, which was founded in 2009, is dedicated to promoting cultural offerings in downtown Haan. The focus is particularly on children and their parents, especially during the summer holidays. The book market and children's bric-a-brac will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by an evening event with the band Bad Stash from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Entry is free and all offers are free of charge, which makes the event particularly attractive, as haaner-sommer.de confirms.
July 19th is also temptingCalligraphy workshopin the Hilden city library. From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., not only young people aged 12 and over, but also adults are invited to take part in this 45-minute workshop. Registering in advance would be an advantage as participation is free.
Diversity in leisure activities
For the sports enthusiasts among us, theBasketball open courttook place in the small sports facility Holterhöfchen. Everyone who enjoys basketball and wants to let off steam between 10 and 11 a.m. is invited here. The event is organized by the city of Hilden and Ballers' Paradise e.V.
Film lovers come to the event on July 18thOpen air cinemaat their expense. The film “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Part 2” will be shown from 9:30 p.m. The beer garden opens at 7:30 p.m. and tickets cost 15 euros in advance and 20 euros at the box office. Another film screening, the cinema “LebensLust – Spezial”, will take place on July 20th with the film “Loyal Friend”.
For those interested in art and cultureExhibition “Art and Medicine”A must in the Wilhelm Fabry Museum. This can be visited again on its last day, July 20th; the tour with curator Sandra Abend begins at 4 p.m.
