CDU Mülheim elects new board: Astrid Timmermann remains at the top!

The CDU Mülheim an der Ruhr has freshly positioned itself and elected a new board of directors who will lead the party's fortunes for the next two years. Astrid Timmermann-Fechter, member of the Bundestag, was confirmed as district chairwoman with a clear majority. In addition to her, the party members can look forward to tried and tested faces: Marcel Helmchen and Christina Küsters were re-elected as deputy district chairmen. Werner Oesterwind remains the treasurer and once again received the trust of the members. New to the team is Tim Jehles, who will act as member representative. The assessors are also represented by new and proven faces: Heiko Hendriks, Darko Medic, Dr. Siegfried Rauhut and Ursula Schröder have been confirmed, supplemented by the new assessors Linda Schäfer and Denise Tilgner. The previous board members Marten Breckling and Bernd Brosch, who did not stand for re-election, were farewelled.

At an event opened by Mayor Marc Buchholz, he spoke about the upcoming local elections. Particular emphasis was placed on the unity of the party, which was also reflected in the unanimous adoption of the local election program. This is on the CDU Mülheim website cdu-muelheim.de visible and shows the party's clear goals for the coming elections.

Leadership with experience

The CDU's leadership team is rounded off by the re-election of Christina Küsters as parliamentary group leader of the council faction. Like Dr. Roland Chrobok, who was confirmed as deputy group leader, received a large majority. The group's trust is very high, which Küsters sees as extremely important for the stability of the cooperation. The social, economic and digital issues are being brought into focus more than ever, which is also reflected in the re-elected assessors Bernd Dickmann, Werner Oesterwind and Dr. Henner Tilgner, who are already active in their committees.

The parliamentary group's executive board presents itself with a broad range of topics in order to meet the challenges in Mülheim an der Ruhr. The collaboration with Mayor Marc Buchholz should make a significant contribution to solving pressing problems. Further information about the members of the CDU parliamentary group can be found on the parliamentary group's website: cdu-fraktion-muelheim.de.
