Five finalists for the Mülheim Business Prize 2025 have been chosen!
Things are really simmering in Mülheim right now. The 3rd Mülheim Business Prize is just around the corner, and there is great anticipation for the award ceremony on November 7, 2025 in the WDL Group's airship hangar. The jury, consisting of seven members, including representatives from the IHK and the business association, selected the five finalists from a total of 30 suggestions submitted. By the way, you could apply for the prize until mid-August. The tension increases because the finalists are: them AZ-Clean building cleaning and service Beierlorzer GmbH, the Book dreams OHG, the Food markets Heinz-Wilhelm Paschmann GmbH & Co. KG as well as the SCHAUENBURG International GmbH.
The motto of the third edition is “Entrepreneurial Commitment” – a topic that is very popular these days. This award is not only about the companies' business successes, but also about their contribution to urban society. The finalists must therefore prepare for a visit from a jury member, where they will present further information about their concepts. Ultimately, the winner will be announced at the end of October.
Awards ceremony in the airspace
The award ceremony is not only a highlight, but is also a social event that is personally awarded by Mülheim's mayor Marc Buchholz. Tickets for the event go on sale from October 1, 2025. A moment that many are looking forward to, not just the nominees.
A look at the recurring commitment of entrepreneurs shows how important this interaction between business and society is. According to that Monitor Corporate Commitment 2025, which will be published in June 2025, the social commitment of companies in Germany is of great importance. The study aims to draw a current picture of the engagement landscape and provides valuable information on the strategic design of corporate engagement.
A good reason to celebrate
The significance of the Mülheim Business Prize goes far beyond the winner. This shows how companies are committed to the community and support democratic values. The prize promotes a dialogue between business, civil society and administration that is beneficial for everyone involved.
The collaboration with sponsors is another plus point, as the WDL Group provides the location for the ceremony free of charge. This means that the people of Mülheim can not only celebrate the companies' great achievements, but also take a look at the successes of the regional economy.
