Summer garden of SV Münster: A recipe for success for enjoyment and fun!

In Münster, SV Münster has once again set up an impressive summer garden, which this year took place from June 2nd to July 4th, 2025. Over five weeks, visitors enjoyed a variety of culinary highlights and events. Thorsten Bonifer, who heads the association's public relations work, draws a positive conclusion in retrospect. The summer garden, which has existed since 2003 and has around 200 seats, was not only a place for socializing this year, but also the largest restaurant in the city during this time. Loud op online Weather-related difficulties made the beginning somewhat difficult, but the rush continued, especially on the popular Thursdays when numerous groups and regulars' tables came together.

The summer garden was originally created to fill a “summer slump” in the club restaurant. Initially there were simple grilled specialties, but the offerings have grown significantly over the years. Reservations from cities like Darmstadt and Rödermark are now common. The guest chefs who provide variety with their specialties on certain days are particularly appreciated.

Commitment and community

Strong support for the summer garden is provided by over 180 volunteers who have worked together for more than 2,000 hours to guarantee the successful running of the events. This pays off not only in terms of popularity, but also in financial support for the club. The need and value of volunteer work is evident at events like these. Volunteers help ensure everything runs smoothly, whether through planning, logistics or guest relations. How clubs.de emphasizes, these commitments are invaluable and promote a sense of community.

This year the summer garden took place on 23 evenings and offered not only a culinary experience, but also special events such as live concerts and public viewing. The “Am Mäusberg” club grounds were a popular meeting place for young and old. A family atmosphere with a playground for the children made the visit a sociable experience for the whole family.

Culinary highlights

This year's culinary offerings ranged from pizza and pasta from Pizzeria Romana to Balkan cuisine from the Alt Münster Balkan Grill and Greek dishes from the Golden Bar. An additional highlight was the Paella Valenciana, which was served on June 10, 2025. With such a diverse offering, SV Münster not only attracts the local population, but also guests from the surrounding cities.

The summer garden has developed enormously through the continuous modernization of the infrastructure, including an outdoor kitchen and the introduction of electronic billing. The good accessibility - both on foot and by bike as well as sufficient parking facilities - also contributes to its attractiveness. Dining here is an experience not to be missed.

With its summer garden, SV Münster has once again demonstrated how important community commitment and creative gastronomy are for a club. This year's success gives hope that the next summer garden will also be a complete triumph.
