In doing so, she takes over the chairmanship of the 7th Senate, which deals with issues of basic security for job seekers. This appointment comes at a particularly interesting time window, as the 7th Senate plays a central role within the State Social Court and is highly relevant for many citizens. The NRW judiciary reports the background.
The 52-year-old Hupertz brings extensive experience to her new position. After studying and completing her legal clerkship, she worked as a lawyer for some time. In 2007, she began her judicial career in the social justice system of North Rhine-Westphalia at the Duisburg Social Court. She quickly made a name for herself and was appointed judge at the State Social Court in December 2013. Previously, she worked as deputy chairwoman in the 1st Senate, where she dealt with matters relating to basic security and the law for severely disabled people.

In addition to her judicial work, she has worked in court administration since January 2021, where she took over training matters and pandemic management. From June 2023 to August 2024, she further expanded her expertise and also took over the personnel matters of the trial judges. Her career shows that Hupertz has a good handle on the challenges in the judicial sector and will certainly bring a breath of fresh air to her new Senate.
The 7th Senate is one of several senates at the State Social Court, which overall cover a wide range of social law topics. In addition to Hupertz, the Senate consists of Judge Dr. Uyanik, who serves as deputy chairman, and judges Redenbach-Grund and Machon.
