Emely I. takes over the scepter: New Princess of the WKG is proclaimed!
On October 29, 2025, the excitement of the carnival in Waldbröl is in full swing. The Waldbröl Carnival Society (WKG) has introduced its new carnival princess. Emely Bergen will start the coming session as Emely I. and already has big plans for the fifth season. The presentation took place in the inviting premises of the Volksbank Oberberg, where it was presented by WKG chairwoman Alexandra Noiron.
The motto of this year's session is:“I am ready with friends and family, together we will celebrate the fifth season.”This shows that community spirit is still very important at Carnival. The 16-year-old Emely will be supported by three aides who will accompany her during the celebrations. The young princess lives in the Eichen district and is in the 10th grade at a local comprehensive school. Her combination of hobbies of moped driving, horse riding and dancing promises a dynamic participation in the carnival celebrations.
Proclamation and dance meeting
As befits the carnival, the proclamation of Emely I is already on the program. This will take place on November 21st in the auditorium of the Hollenberg-Gymnasium. The previous child princess Paula I will also say goodbye at the celebration, which will certainly cause a lot of emotions. The following day, November 22nd, a large dance meeting will take place with around 20 expected carnival companies, further fueling the anticipation of the main season.
With this new presentation, the WKG shows that the carnival in Waldbröl is not just a tradition, but also a lively community that brings young and old together. With her enthusiasm and commitment, Emely I. seems to have a good hand for the upcoming celebrations. The support she receives from her aides will certainly be an important factor in creating unforgettable moments together.
In times when community values are often pushed into the background, Waldbröl is a wonderful example of how important celebrating traditions and getting together are.
