On the Pentecost weekend in 2025, numerous youth football tournaments took place in the Oberbergischer Kreis, organized by SV Schnellenbach.

On the Pentecost weekend, SV Schnellenbach hosted a series of exciting youth football tournaments that captivated the little footballers. The event provided an excellent opportunity to see the next generation of talent on the pitch and strengthen the club community. Oberberg-current reports that the C youth tournament kicked off on Friday evening, in which TuRa Dieringhausen was able to climb to the winner's podium thanks to the better goal difference, followed by SV Schnellenbach.
Saturday was all about the Bambini, who performed in the Funino format - a great experience for the 12 participating teams. Here SSV Bergneustadt secured first place ahead of FV Wiehl II. The young players also showed their skills in the U8 and U9 age groups: The U8 was dominated by DJK Gummersbach, while the U9 was led by TuRa Dieringhausen. The U10 and U11 juniors also appeared in front of the audience in the afternoon, with SG Frielingsdorf/Berghausen/Süng triumphing in the final against SG Schnellenbach/Ründeroth.
Successes of the D and B youth
On Sunday, the focus was on the D-Youth team. ASC Loope secured the title, followed by VfL Engelskirchen and SSV Marienheide. JFC Biesfeld/Kürten also shone in the B-juniors, taking first place ahead of SSV Bergneustadt and SG Schnellenbach/Loope. The challengers gave their best and provided exciting games that captivated the spectators.
Jerseys and coaching staff
Another highlight of the event was the presentation of new jerseys for the C youth, which were sponsored at the start of the season by the MMD company, owner Jan Mickoleit. The D-youth received new tracksuits that provide a breath of fresh air on the training field. The entire coaching team and the team would like to thank Jan Mickoleit for his great support and hope for a successful season.
