From today, August 28, 2025, things will be exciting again for all those who would like to lend a hand and enjoy fresh apples straight from the tree. The Lepkeshof in Bermensfeld invites fruit lovers big and small to pick their own apples. The harvest season has begun and visitors can now immerse themselves in the apple orchards every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Lepkeshof, fortunately located in the tri-city area of Oberhausen, Mülheim and Essen, has a lot to offer this season. Thanks to ideal weather conditions, the apple trees are full of ripe fruit and the harvest is estimated to be bountiful. Boxes or wheelbarrows for the harvested apples can be borrowed on site, making picking easier. Here you can go on a little trip into the countryside with family or friends.
Diverse selection and good preparation
In the next two weeks, self-pickers can look forward to a variety of apple varieties. The season is perfect for anyone who loves picking fresh fruit themselves.
