A look at the traffic situation around Drolshagen currently shows some construction sites that drivers should keep a close eye on. As the News reported, we can expect a significant traffic disruption on the A45 in the direction of Hagen on July 8, 2025. Between the Drolshagen (17) and Brachtsiepen junction, the left lane will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the road will be narrowed to one strip. From this point onwards, increased traffic volumes and temporary traffic jams can be expected.
But that's not the only construction site that could cause confusion. The Drolshagen junction on the A45 has been completely closed since June 27th Siegerland newspaper informed. This full closure begins on Friday at 7 p.m. and ends on Monday, June 30th at 5 a.m. During this time, the L708 is also not accessible from the junction with the K15 to the entrance to the gas station/Park&Ride Drolshagen. The aim of this measure is urgently needed road construction work to renew the road surface.
Detours and traffic flow
Large-scale diversions were set up for affected road users. Long-distance and through traffic will be rerouted via the A45, with the diversion route clearly marked with red dot signage. However, local surrounding streets such as the Alte Dorfstraße, K36 towards Scheda and the K15/K16 “In der Sengenau” will remain easily accessible during the construction work.
