Rain? Doesn't matter! Over 4,200 celebrations celebrate the largest 90s party in Elsdorf!

The "We Love the 90’s" party in Elsdorf has caused a sensation again this year. On June 14, 2025, over 4,200 visitors came to the large parking lot at the Festhalle and celebrated with a summer beach backdrop. Despite a rain shower in the late evening, the guests did not let the mood spoil and danced on to the sounds of the 90s and 2000s. The event, which is now established as the largest 90s party in the Rhein-Erft district, lasted almost eight hours and offered a comprehensive entertainment spectrum.

The event was organized by Niklas Wolff and Robert Wassenberg from the urban cultural department. You can say that you have a good knack for such events - the party in the fourth year in a row was a complete success, and the number of participants show that the event is very popular with people. Robert Wassenberg also described the "We Love the 90’s" party as his "absolute baby" and emphasized that no costs for the city of Elsdorf were incurred because the event was financed by sponsors.

A feast for the senses

The atmosphere on the site was unique. The summer flair was underlined with a poured sandy beach and deckchairs for a break break. A large DJ stage caused a good mood and was flanked by an impressive light show, which was able to impress with a four-meter-high light traverse. In addition, the guests had the opportunity to refresh themselves at various bars, including "2Good" and "Gin de Cologne", with a wide range of drinks. From cocktails to Kölsch to soft drinks - there was something for every taste.

The culinary offer was also impressive: pizza, currywurst, kebab, crepes and cookies were very popular with the celebrations. The event not only took place in the open air, but also brought a piece of nostalgia to the region.

Thanks to the community

Mayor Heller addressed the guests and the local cooperation associations, which contributed to the implementation of the event. The many sponsors, including well -known companies such as the Volksbank Erft, Western Energy, RWE and REWE Grundhöfer, made an important contribution to the reception and the success of the festival.

The musical roots of festivals go far back, but the concept of parties such as "We Love the 90’s" shows how this tradition has developed in a modern form that promotes community sense and joy in music. Music festivals have proven themselves as platforms for self -expression and social movements, and so this event is also an expression of the cultural identity that was shaped by the 90s. In times of digital change and sustainability efforts, such events remain indispensable contact points for experiences and sense of community in today's world.

The energy level at the "We Love the 90’s" party was overwhelming, and it will be exciting to see what the organizers are planning for next year. One thing is certain: the 90s continue to live and with them the pleasure they bring with them.
