JuKiz’25: Great fun for children in the Bad Sassendorfer Kurpark!
On June 30, 2025, the spa park in Bad Sassendorf was the scene of an exciting event that not only appealed to children and young people, but also gave them the opportunity to actively participate. Over 4,000 visitors came to enjoy an unforgettable experience at JuKiz’25, a children’s and youth event with a wide range of activities and a great stage program. The event was organized by Michael Budde and Bianca Middeldorf from the Soest District Youth Office in collaboration with the Bad Sassendorf community as well as local youth centers, clubs and associations, all of which contributed their part to the realization of the event reports the press service.
With the motto “From you for you” the organizers sent a clear signal for the participation of young people. In over 30 hands-on stations, they were able to make friendship bracelets, try out body painting or even discover their musical talents at the DJ workshop. The 150 meter long bouncy castle course was the absolute highlight. Here the little visitors could romp around to their hearts' content - a welcome change for the whole family. Numerous stands provided food and drinks at family-friendly prices, so that everyone could take part, regardless of their parents' budget states the Soest district website.
A day full of fun and music
The day was characterized by music, dance and small shows that enriched the stage program. Martin Dehn, known from YouTube and TikTok, moderated the event and ensured a lively atmosphere among those present. This event was not only an opportunity for children and young people to let off steam and be creative, but also a step towards greater participation of young people in society as formulated in the National Action Plan for Child and Youth Participation.
The idea behind JuKiz’25 fits perfectly into the federal government’s current youth strategy, which is to be implemented by 2025. The National Action Plan promotes direct and visible participation of young people and aims to create participation structures that are suitable for children and young people. In this way, the voice of youth can be integrated into public life - not only today, but also in the years to come.
The event has developed rapidly in recent years; compared to the previous year, when there were around 3,000 visitors to the Anröcht forest outdoor pool, the number has now risen to an impressive 4,000. This not only shows the great interest, but also the successful organization and attractiveness of the program.
The successful implementation of the event is also made possible by the support of the Soest district and the municipality of Bad Sassendorf, which, together with sponsors and the participating institutions, create a lively exchange. A big thank you goes to everyone involved who made this wonderful day possible!
