Next weekend, the Maximilian Park in Hamm will be the stage for a spectacular medieval market. From June 19th to 22nd, 2025, to coincide with the Corpus Christi holiday, visitors can expect a true feast for the senses. In sunny weather and light winds, young and old can look forward to a colorful program.

The market is spread over four days and invites you to explore the area with over 24 stalls. There are not only culinary delicacies such as langosch, tarte flambée, stick bread and a selection of grilled meat, but also handmade goods from jewelry to medieval clothing. The stands promise to be a real playground for connoisseurs and bargain hunters.

A celebration for the family

Visitors can look forward to a rich entertainment program. Storytellers provide exciting stories, while young guests can have fun with face painting and on the jumping platform. But that's not all: the highlight of the market is the knight games, which take place twice on each day of the event. The spectators are treated to a thrilling spectacle, although we shouldn't forget the duel between Margarete, Tristan and Mr. Witzlaw - Witzlaw in particular is honored for his skill.

Another attraction is the interactive bird show by Yvonne Legetth from the Asgard Falconry. Here, spectators can experience falcons, eagles and other birds of prey up close – an experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Practical information

If you want to visit the market, you should consider purchasing tickets online to avoid long waiting times. During the event, the main box office and various entrances will be open daily from 9 a.m. If you arrive by car, there are plenty of parking options, but public transport also offers good connections to Maximilianpark.

Please note that dogs are not allowed in the park and that the annual passes and the RUHR.TOPCARD are valid differently on different days. Friday is planned as a “small market day” with a reduced cultural program and normal admission - an ideal offer for families.
