Max Camp Gala: 15,487 euros collected for inclusion in Solingen!

At this year's sports gala in Solingen, an impressive amount of 15,487 euros was raised for the Max Camp project. This event, which is now considered an integral part of the broader sporting culture in the region, attracted numerous guests and was sold out in no time. The gala will be held for the 28th time in February 2024 and remains a sign of passion and social commitment in sport. Solinger Tageblatt reports that the Max-Camp club is in second place in the Gala's all-time rankings, which underlines the great support in the community.

Mayor Tim Kurzbach praised the gala as an example of social commitment in sport. Detlef Wagner, President of the Solingen Sports Association, also emphasized the importance of the event, which values both active athletes and their families. “Here, the passion for popular sport is close to our hearts,” says Wagner. A highlight of the gala was the handball inclusion tournament, which was praised by Thomas Rademacher as an outstanding example of successful commitment.

Projects and developments

The gala has supported many projects in the past that address the needs of the sports community. The projects benefiting include the Aufderhöhe outdoor swimming pool, the Ittertal leisure center and the ice rink. Since the first gala in 1997, numerous clubs have been supported. The list ranges from basketball to swimming to baseball and much more. In 2023, the Jahnkampfbahn support group was again taken into account, which will also benefit from the gala in 2024.

Max Ramota, the founder of Max-Camp, makes it clear how important such support is. In a current project, Max-Camp is cooperating with the International Vocational Academy (iba) in Cologne to further professionalize the promotion of young talent. Max Camp relies on the expertise of iba as a gold sponsor and educational partner. Ann-Christin Kribben from iba emphasizes that promoting young talent is crucial for further development.

Sustainability of the partnership

The collaboration with iba is not only aimed at rapid training, but also at the sustainable integration of young talents in both sport and the education sector. The iba will financially support sporting projects and do its part to ensure that the philosophies of both partners are harmonized and that young people are supported on their educational path.

It looks like the gala has not only had short-term success, but will also make a decisive contribution to promoting sport in the region in the future. With a colorful mix of old and new projects, the sports gala remains an important reminder of social engagement. The future is being shaped here – with a clear focus on inclusion and community!
