Solingen sings: Big sing-along party for young people at Fronhof!”

Next week Solingen will be the scene of a very special event. On July 12th from 5 p.m. the “Solingen sings!” initiative invites you. all young people in the picturesque setting of the Fronhof to sing and celebrate together. Like that Solinger Tageblatt reports, this sing-along event is organized by the Working Group of Christian Churches, the Evangelical Church District of Solingen, the Youth City Council and the Mitteschmiede Solingen.

The program promises a colorful mix of pop, spirituals and more, supported by a band, a choir and a saxophonist. What's also exciting is the innovative way in which the song lyrics are provided - via QR codes on smartphones that serve as digital song sheets. After the sing-along, a DJ will ensure an exuberant atmosphere.

Treats and good deeds

Your physical well-being is also taken care of. The Glorious youth café will offer drinks, while the Youth City Council will provide culinary delights with hot dogs and sweets. Admission is free, but a fundraiser is being held for the “Donate Pens” project, which supports needy children with school supplies. This not only ensures a good atmosphere, but also a meaningful cause.

The event joins a series of similar events that began in 2023. A sing-along event took place at the same location on June 18th, which was very well received and was characterized by a colorful musical performance. The success back then, with hits by artists like Mark Forster and Udo Jürgens, clearly showed that Solingen has a big heart for music. The Klingenkirche Network reported a total of eleven popular songs that will be performed. The event was moderated by Luisa Skrabic from Radio RSG, which gave the whole thing additional pizzazz.

The response from the audience is great and no prior registration is required, which allows for relaxed coming and going. So if you want an unforgettable musical experience in Solingen, get ready for “Solingen sings!” on July 12th. It could be just what you need to spend an unforgettable evening with friends!
