Königsborner SV celebrates new success with a 38:27 win in Coesfeld!
Königsborner SV celebrates a clear win in the away game! On October 3, 2025, the KSV handball players played against DJK Eintracht Coesfeld and won the game 38:27. After initially having difficulty getting used to the conditions in the hall, the Königsborn women finally pulled away at full strength. After a half-time lead of 15:12, the KSV pulled away in the second half and impressively demonstrated their playing strength. Particularly noteworthy are the performances of Annika Kucharczyk and Krollmann, who each scored ten goals and made a significant contribution to the success. Sports District Unna reports that Coesfeld was even in the lead with 9:7 after 20 minutes, but that didn't put the KSV back.
It should be noted that three regular players, Wrede, Halstenberg and Pelz, were unable to play, which further increased the challenge for the team. Despite these setbacks, the KSV showed character and was able to rely on the goal scorers Schöße, Seelbach, Lorenz, N. Hering, E. Schmitz, L. Schmitz, Albrecht, Eckey and Steinweg. Coach Kai Harbach's team has now beaten all previous opponents and can look forward to a well-deserved break over the next 14 days.
Successful streak continues
The KSV players are in high demand at the moment, their performance has exceeded expectations. Not only did the team impress in this game, but they are already on an impressive run of success. It's not just the goal scorers who are in the spotlight, but also the entire team, which is constantly developing and adapting to current requirements. On the official KSV website You can find further information about the women's teams and their achievements.
Research and development in handball
In the background, scientific support is also playing an increasingly important role in handball. The German Handball Federation (DHB) calls for improving the transfer of knowledge and technology between science and sports practice. The DHB research profile 2.0 is intended to communicate the need for research and to specifically integrate scientific findings into practice. In this sense, the networking between sports practice and science is seen as central to the future of handball.
The coming weeks promise a lot of excitement for Königsborner SV and their supporters! With hopefully further success under their belt, they could soon be making more positive headlines.
