Burglars are up to mischief: wave of thefts in the Viersen district!
Several break-ins last weekend caused unrest in the Viersen district. As the News.de reports, those affected in Kempen, St. Tönis, Lobberich and Viersen-Hamm are faced with a painful loss. While police have begun their investigation, residents are understandably alarmed.
In Kempen there was a break-in in a single-family home on Memelstrasse between October 20th and 25th. The burglars stole a considerable amount of coins, jewelry and cash. Particularly bitter: In St. Tönis, unknown persons gained access to an apartment in an apartment building on Buchenstrasse. There they ransacked the bedroom while the residents were at home. Jewelry and a wallet were also taken here.
Unclear conditions in Lobberich and Viersen-Hamm
In Lobberich there was also a break-in in a single-family home on Rennekoven Street between Friday and Sunday. However, it remains unclear whether anything was stolen. The situation is similar in Viersen-Hamm, where a single-family home on Donker Weg Street was hit on Sunday between 1:00 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. Here too, it is unclear whether the perpetrators stole anything.
The police are asking for citizens' help and to report information about the break-ins to Criminal Investigation Department 2 on 02162/377-0. These incidents are not the first in the region; Back in April, a single-family home on Feldstrasse in St. Tönis was the victim of a break-in while the residents were on vacation Press portal communicates.
At a time when the security situation is increasingly in focus, it is important to support each other and be alert to suspicious activity. The criminal police have already secured clues and are continuing to investigate diligently. The hope remains that the perpetrators will be caught soon and those affected will receive at least partial compensation for their losses.
