Katharina-von-Bora-Haus: Brilliant reopening after renovation!
The Katharina von Bora House of the Süchteln Evangelical Church Community has been given a new life. After extensive renovation work, the community center was ceremoniously reopened last Friday. At a special service and a subsequent reception, Pastor Axel Stein and numerous guests warmly welcomed the newly designed center of community life. Those present included not only community members, but also sponsors, craft businesses and representatives from the presbytery and administration.
The renovation was not an easy undertaking. The aim was to bring the building up to date technically and energetically. This included comprehensive technical renovations and the modernization of the interior. Planners and implementers Brigitte and Helmut Florissen showed an excellent knack for making the rooms functional and sustainable. The financing of the project was a joint effort that was made possible through the church's own resources and the support of numerous donors and sponsors.
Thanks to everyone involved
In his speech, Pastor Stein thanked the craft businesses for their active support as well as the volunteers who were committed throughout the entire project. Their commitment and dedication were crucial to the successful completion of the renovation work. After the official celebrations, the successful result was toasted, a nice moment to celebrate the new community center.
The “Katharina-von-Bora-Haus” will now once again function as a lively center of community life in Süchteln. It offers space for numerous activities, from church services to group activities and social events. The community is looking forward to filling this important center with life again and providing new impetus after the challenges of recent years.
At a time when many congregations are struggling with declining membership numbers and financial constraints, the reopening of such a house is a strong signal. It shows that committed cooperation and the right planning skills can not only protect the building, but also strengthen the community. This is not only a benefit for the parish, but also for the entire region.
In conclusion, the Katharina von Bora House will continue to be a place where people can come together, participate and support each other. A place where community is very important!
