Attention, caring relatives: Campus Café” to provide relief in Moers!

A very special event for caring relatives will be offered at the Bethanien Hospital in Moers on July 9, 2025: the “Campus Café”. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Bethanien Academy, located at Bethanienstrasse 15, invites you to a social gathering with coffee and cake. This event not only offers a cozy atmosphere, but also the opportunity for exchange between those affected and experts. In addition to the culinary delicacies, participants can expect an informative lecture from Beate Wargalla, an experienced qualified educator and respiratory therapist. The topic "How do we breathe healthily, well and deeply? With exercises even when short of breath and stress" will be a ray of hope for many in the often challenging everyday care routine, as lokalklick.eu reports.

But the “Campus Café” has even more to offer: It takes place every two months, every second Wednesday. Guests are warmly invited to receive interesting professional support from changing speakers and to learn from the experiences of other caring relatives. With a maximum number of participants of 30 people, we ensure that everyone has the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings in a protected environment. Not only caring relatives, but also friends and neighbors are warmly welcome, as can be read on bethanien-moers.de.

Important support for caregivers

The challenges that come with caring for relatives are enormous. In Germany, over 6.6 million people look after family members in need of care, with 80% of this care taking place at home. The burden is high because 40% of carers suffer from back pain and over 50% show signs of depression. This makes it clear how important self-care and relief are. The exchange in the “Campus Café” can therefore be a decisive step in the right direction for many caring relatives in order to support and encourage each other, according to meinpflegefinder.de.

How important this support is is also shown by the high pressure that many carers are under. Shoulders must bear not only the physical burden of caregiving, but also psychological stress. Therefore, self-care strategies such as using quick relaxation techniques and scheduling timely breaks offer valuable help. Managing stress is crucial to protecting your health. The organization of tasks and the distribution of responsibilities within the family are also of great importance in order to improve the quality of care and relieve the burden on everyone involved.

For anyone who is interested, it should be mentioned that the next event in the “Campus Café” is already planned for September 10, 2025 and the topic “Caring for the respiratory tract with essential oils to protect against infections” will then be discussed. Registration is possible at any time, either by email to campuscafe@bethanienmoers.de or by telephone on +49 (0) 2841 200 2338 or +49 (0) 2841 200 20420.

So if you want to combine Januskopf care and personal time out, the “Campus Café” is the first point of contact to experience active support and, above all, community.
