Garbage fees in Worms: No changes despite neighboring adjustments!
In the last few weeks there have been numerous citizen inquiries about waste disposal and fees in the Alzey-Worms district. The good news: The waste fees for the Worms urban area remain unchanged! This is made clear by the waste disposal and construction company under public law (ebwo AöR). Merkurist informs that changes in the neighboring district have no impact on Worms.
Since September 1, 2023, a new waste fee system has been in effect in neighboring areas, where, for example, high amounts of waste have led to fee adjustments. For Worms, however, this means that the tried and tested waste calendar dates and the emptying rhythm remain. Citizens can view their information on waste collection at any time on the ebwo AöR website or ask the waste advice center directly.

Adjustments from 2025
There will be new garbage can fees from January 1, 2025. The size and number of bins can be selected according to individual needs, which is a significant advantage for households. EVA waste entsorgung explains that there is an obligation to connect to residual waste and organic waste bins, but that there is the option of not using the organic waste bin if you compost yourself. The collection intervals also remain at 14 days for residual and organic waste.
The garbage cans must be ready by 6:00 a.m. on collection days and must be properly marked with a tax stamp. This means that the people of Worms can look forward to the coming years with a good feeling, without having to worry about sudden changes in fees for waste disposal.
