What a party Wachenheim celebrated there on Saturday! The castle and wine festival attracted not only the locals, but also numerous visitors to the charming city. In summer temperatures, Riesling was formally celebrated. Following on from the tradition of the wine festival, Family Sunday took place on Sunday, June 15, 2025. The organizers had put together a colorful program. In the morning, from 11:00 a.m., there was the Breton-Palatinate specialty Galette Saucisse on the market square and a cheerful children's program with the “Grinsebacke” on the town hall square. The Pusteblume daycare center was also represented with its own program.

A day full of variety

Anyone who thought that Sunday had enough to offer was very wrong. From 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. there was live music with Matteo di Maggio in the courtyard of the Schloss Wachenheim AG sparkling wine cellar - a great opportunity to enjoy the musical sounds with a glass of sparkling wine. At the same time, the Weinstrasse was the venue for the exciting “Street Pickleball” event at TC Wachenheim.

For oldies fans, the band THE FOSSILS rocked the Wachtenburg from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., while wine lovers could look forward to a winery tour with sparkling wine tasting at 3:00 p.m., for which a small fee of 12.50 euros per person had to be paid. Sunday was rounded off with the acoustic cover of “Tunesday” at Weingut Peter and a live performance of “Amokoma” on Rathausplatz.
