The fair in Bad Kreuznach opened its doors today, August 15, 2025, with a colorful spectacle for the whole family! Over 182 shops, restaurants and rides fill the Pfingstwiese and invite visitors to a carefree stay. This year's new features include the exciting ghost train "Ride to Hell", the spectacular four-story ride "Fire Alarm" and the high ride "Rock & Roll", which provides thrills with an overhead ride. Of course, classics such as the “Wellenflug” and the “Europarad” are not missing either.

The official opening procession began at 5 p.m. on the embankment, with numerous prominent participants present: Mayor Emanuel Letz, Mayor Thomas Blechschmidt, fairground mayor Markus Schlosser as well as representatives of city politics and society. High-profile guests such as the President of the Bundestag Julia Klöckner and the Nahe wine majesties Zoé Keller de Almeida Soliz and Laura Ludwig gave the event additional splendor.

Ceremonial opening

The ceremonial opening took place on the Nahedamm in front of the Naheweinzelt, where those present were greeted with small gingerbread hearts. The event was accompanied musically by the Merry Schuppesser marching band and fanfare, which created the right atmosphere. The traditional tapping of wine barrels was the symbolic start to a successful fair. The fair officially opened at 5:40 p.m. with seven gun shots that echoed loudly across the square.
