A tragic incident occurred on Friday afternoon, June 27, 2025, in Bad Kreuznach. Here, a 56-year-old mother was reversing out of a parking space on Mannheimer Strasse when her three-year-old child carelessly opened the rear door and fell onto the street. According to Antenne KH, the mother did not have enough time to set the automatic selector lever to “P” during her efforts to help her child. The vehicle unexpectedly started moving.
As a result, the mother's left leg was trapped under the vehicle and rolled over. The car then collided with a properly parked vehicle. Shockingly, the mother was injured in her lower left leg, while the child suffered head and knee injuries. Both were quickly taken to hospital, where fortunately their injuries were not considered life-threatening. The property damage is estimated at around 16,000 euros, and the police immediately began investigating the accident.
