An unfortunate incident occurred on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the central bus station (ZOB) in Bitburg. At around 4:45 p.m., a wheelchair user tipped over while stopping a bus on the Trier-Bitburg line and sustained minor injuries. According to information from Rhine newspaper The abrupt braking of the bus could be a possible cause of the fall.
The police are now investigating and are therefore asking witnesses to come forward with any relevant information.
