The background to traffic accidents

Unfortunately, traffic accidents like this are not the exception. Every year, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure addresses developments and statistics on mobility and traffic in Germany in its standard work “Traffic in Numbers” (ViZ). The compendium has provided comprehensive data for over 50 years, including accident numbers and information on traffic events. The content is currently being processed by institutions such as the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), which shows how important this topic is for public safety. Further details can be found on the BMV website BMV.

Awareness of road safety is crucial, especially in times when mobility is changing rapidly. Daily statistics and reports help to better understand the behavior of road users and take preventive measures to avoid injuries.

It remains to be hoped that those affected will get back on their feet quickly. The incident also concerned residents and commuters at the central bus station who witnessed the incident. Such events show how important it is to drive proactively, especially in busy areas.
